The demand for luxury houses in London has reached another record high so far this year and has surpassed levels recorded before the crisis as the prime housing boom continues.
Research commissioned by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) indicates that the demand in the luxury housing market is “storming ahead”, with 1,387 houses sold last year at £2 million-plus compared with 1,297 in 2011. Last year’s sales volume of £2 million-plus homes was also 14.5 per cent higher than the peak level of 2007.
